Hi everyone!
Today I have chosen to review for you this shower gel from Lush.
I tell you now that this is NOT an organic product because it contains SLS (sodium laureth sulfate), and a few other ingredients with red dot on 'biodizionario', however it is a product that is then rinsed from the skin, so it's up to you. At the end of the article I leave INCI full of dots from 'biodizionario'.
"The olive branch" is the original name, but here in Italy its name is "Mediterraneo".
Both names harks back to the main ingredients of shower gel: fair trade olive oil (those of Lush are very attentive to the issue), infusion of vine leaves, tangerine juice and bergamot oil: all the ingredients that are precisely in the Mediterranean.
I start by saying that it is called "shower gel", but it is very liquid and is presented as a two-phase, that contains a water part, an oily part, and being free of emulsifying the two sides are distinct, beige top and orange low. For this reason it is specified on the package that must be shaken before use (to avoid too many bubbles just flip the pack 3 or 4 times).
Once emulsified it has a beautiful pale orange, just like a real tangerine juice, and the smell is the most glorious there might be! The first fragrance perceived is tangerine, and later we realize that it seems almost spicy while remaining very cool (generally refer to smells hot spices), you also feel a bit of what appears to be patchouli or ylang ylang.
The formulation very liquid allows the use of a small amount for the whole body, and I think this is a great value.
The scent remains on the skin for several hours, and it is extremely pleasant to use, because it leaves the skin soft and smooth, about olive oil.
In general I prefer to use it in the morning, because it gives a boost of energy to start the day off right!
Downside is the high price (like almost all products Lush), which is € 6.50 for a pack of 100 g, € 13.50 for 250 g, and finally to € 22.50 for 500 g.
Below, as I said at the beginning, find the INCI with its dots of 'biodizionario', if you do not know how to read the INCI I refer you to this article
Let me know what you think, if you intend to use it and if you have tried it or not!
Bye bye to all and see you at the next post!
